Holiday Lights and Festivities Across New Mexico - 2008

New Mexicans do love a light show, and making the holidays shine with good cheer. All across the state, cities and towns celebrate the joy of the season with unique New Mexico style.

Cities and Towns

Albuquerque
The BioPark’s River of Light is definitely one of the city’s favorite and beloved traditions. Locals and visitors alike stroll the grounds of the Albuquerque BioPark, strolling paths lined with sculptures created from thousands of lights. From trains to leaping critters it's New Mexico's largest walk-through holiday light show. Tickets can be purchased online through the New Mexico BioPark Society, or at the Biopark. Once in the park, children (and their parents) will delight in the scale model railroad at the Botanic Garden that often operates during this season.
